FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do you take my insurance?
No. Health Hive is a private-pay clinic and we do not process insurance claims.
What we can do, on request, is give you an itemized receipt with the CPT codes insurance companies ask for, which is called a superbill. You submit that to your insurer yourself, and whether they reimburse you is between you and them.
Can I use my HSA or FSA?
Yes.
Why would I pay out of pocket for physical therapy?
Because of what you get for it: the whole session one-on-one with a licensed physical therapist, techniques insurance will not cover, and fewer visits to get there. There is a fuller answer in Why Private Pay, and it is worth the two minutes.
What is the free discovery call?
A conversation. You tell us what is going on, what you have already tried and what you want to get back to, and we tell you honestly whether we are the right people to help.
It costs nothing, there is nothing to sign, and it is not treatment. It is how we start.
What happens at my first visit?
A one-on-one assessment. We go through your history, what has been treated before, what your symptoms are doing now and what you actually want to be able to do again. Then we build the plan together.
How many visits will I need?
It depends on what is going on, and anybody who gives you a number before assessing you is guessing. What we will tell you, after the assessment, is what the plan looks like and roughly how long it should take. Our whole model is built around fewer visits, not more.
What is dry needling?
It works on the nervous system, not just the muscle. We use it for tension headaches, muscle strains, arthritis and myofascial pain, and it is one of the techniques most insurance plans will not pay for.
What is different about your physical therapy?
You get the licensed physical therapist for the whole session. Not an aide, not a room with four people in it. A detailed assessment, a plan built for you, and treatment aimed at the cause rather than the symptom.
Who do you work with?
Three kinds of people, and they want different things:
Prevent. Busy professionals who want to stay ahead of the problem.
Rehab. Persistent back, neck or joint pain that has not been resolved elsewhere.
Recover. Athletes who want to recover faster, train harder, and get hurt less.
Where are you?
507 Okerson Rd, Unit 507B, Freehold, NJ 07728, inside Iron House Performance Center.
How do I get in touch?
Call us at (732) 455-9775, or send us a message. When you send the form you get an email confirming it arrived, usually within a minute or two, and then a real person reads it and gets back to you to set up your free discovery call.
What is your cancellation policy?
We ask for 24 hours' notice to move or cancel a visit. If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, or do not come, that visit is used, except for one grace pass on every program that we give without asking why. There is no cash fee. If a program reaches three unexcused no-call, no-shows, the program closes and whatever is left is held as credit. Before every visit you get a reminder about 48 hours ahead, so a slip is easy to catch.
