ACCESSIBILITY

This statement was last reviewed on September 18, 2026.

Health Hive is a clinic. People come to us because something in their body is not working the way they want it to, which means a fair number of the people reading this page are dealing with pain, limited movement, low vision, or a device they navigate with instead of a mouse. A website that only works for some of them is not good enough for a practice built on treating everybody like family.

This page says what we are aiming for, what we have done, what we know is not right yet, and how to reach a person if any part of this site is not working for you.

WHAT WE ARE AIMING FOR

We build this site toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, which is the standard most organizations work to.

We are not claiming that this site is perfect, or that it works flawlessly with every assistive technology. We are claiming a standard, a process, and a person you can call when the process misses something.

WHAT WE HAVE DONE

- Forms. Every field on our contact form has a visible label, and the field asking for your consent says what it is rather than sitting there unnamed.

- No accessibility overlay. We do not use one of the plug-in widgets that promises to fix accessibility automatically. They do not fix the underlying page, and they sometimes make things worse. The work above is the product.

WHAT WE KNOW IS NOT RIGHT YET

- We have not yet tested this site with a screen reader or other assistive technology. Checking the code against a standard is not the same as watching somebody use it, and we are not going to describe one as if it were the other. That testing is on our list.

- Parts of this site are not ours to fix. The site runs on Squarespace, and the shop and checkout, the mobile menu and the pop-up are built by them. If something in one of those does not work for you, tell us anyway: we will get you what you need another way, and we will pass the problem on.

- The newsletter pop-up can be awkward to dismiss, particularly with a keyboard.

- Spam protection. Our contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which can be difficult for some people. If it blocks you, call us and we will take your information over the phone.

- Anything embedded from another company, such as reviews, runs on their code and we do not control how accessible it is.

If you find something that belongs on this list, tell us. It goes on the list and it goes on the fix list.

IF SOMETHING IS NOT WORKING FOR YOU

Contact us and we will get you what you need another way, whether that is booking a consult, answering a question, or reading you what is on a page.

Phone: (732) 455-9775
Email: hello@hlthhv.com

Tell us what you were trying to do and what happened, and if you know it, what device or browser you were using. It helps us find the problem faster.

You can also just walk in during clinic hours and talk to us. We would rather solve it in person than have you fight with a web page.

KEEPING THIS CURRENT

We check the site against the standard above whenever we change it, and we review this page along with it. If we make a change that affects anything described here, this page gets updated and the review date at the top changes with it.
